L N P SENEWIRATNA
Appointed to the Board on the 8th of August 2014. Mr. Luckshman N P Senewiratna (Chula Senewiratna), had his primary education at St. Thomas’s Preparatory School, Colombo, his secondary education at Trinity College, Kandy and his tertiary education at the Reitaku University in Japan, he started his career with Hitachi Engineering of Japan, working on their Water Treatment Project in Kandy, Sri Lanka. In the year 1993 he joined the family owned company Kelani Valley Canneries Limited as its Assistant Factory Manager and was appointed to the Board in the 1996 and was made Executive Director/CEO up to 2013. Bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in the manufacturing and marketing business, he in the past has held the position of Honorary Secretary and President Elect of the Sri Lanaka Food Processors Association, and is also a Non-Executive Director of Hiru Agri Businesses Limited and is a member of the Council of Governors and Director of the Sri Lanka Business Development Centre.
J C RATWATTE
Appointed to the Board on the 8th of August 2014. Mr. J. Charitha Ratwatte, who had both his primary & secondary education at Royal College, Colombo, is a holder of a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Ceylon, Colombo and is an Attorney of Law with over 40 years’ experience. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations from the Bandaranaike Center for International Studies. He has worked for the government for over 20 years in various assignments, ranging from Director General of Youth Services, Chairman of the National Youth Services Savings and Credit Co-operative, Commissioner General for Essential Services, Managing Director of the Janasaviya Trust Fund and also as Secretary to six Ministries. He retired from the government service from the post of Secretary to the Treasury & Ministry of Finance. He now works in the business sector as the Managing Director of the Sri Lanka Business Development Centre, a non-profit, non-stock, private social enterprise. He has been a member of the Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, by invitation, since 1995. He serves on the Board of Directors of several companies, mainly in the leisure business. He has been a Lecturer and Examiner in Constitutional Law in Sri Lanka and a Resource Person on Disaster Management to the Asian Disaster Management Center of the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.
I S MADDEGODA
Appointed to the Board on the 8th of August 2014. Ms. Inoka S Maddegoda has over 12 years’ experience in the Travel and Tourism trade having worked with The Maharaja Organization. Having had her tertiary education at the Lyceum Academy for Teacher Education in Sri Lanka, now works at the HORIZON COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL in Malabe, Sri Lanka.
J A PANABOKKE
Appointed to the Board on the 2oth of April 2015. Mr. Jayantha A Panabokke, who had both his primary & secondary education at Trinity College, Kandy, has over 36 years management experience in the hospitality industry and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Mahaweli Reach Hotels PLC since 1988 and has functioned as its Managing Director since 1992. He currently represents Sri Lanka on the Executive Board of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), and is a member of the Council of Governors of the Sri Lanka Business Development Centre. He is a Director of Mahaweli Hotel Management Services (Pvt) Limited and of Mowbray Hotels Ltd. He has also been a former Member of the Board of the Sri Lanka Tourist Board and Chairman of the PATA Sri Lanka Chapter. In addition, he has in the past been appointed Vice President of the Tourist Hotels Association of Sri Lanka, President of the Kandy Hoteliers Association, Director of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of the Central Province and a Director of the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management.
